The regime tries to promote consensus to the war among people by organizing numerous welfare activities (shelters, soup kitchens, packs of supplies for the recalled soldiers and their families).

These initiatives have a propagandistic intent; they are not able to significantly improve the life conditions of the poorer sectors of society, nor to avoid the increasing estrangement from the Fascist regime.

In the name of autarchy people are asked to participate to the martial effort through actions such as handing over iron objects and manufacturing garments for the soldiers.
