Florentine partisans (ISRT)

Since autumn 1943 the Resistance networks soon organize themselves in the city and in the province of Florence. They show a composite character: different generations, social classes and political tendencies are involved.

The National Liberation Tuscan Committee (CTLN) is formed. The representatives of the major anti-fascist parties in the CTLN, through a complex mediation effort, draw up a common political project to refound the democratic institutions. Such project will be the basis for the future Constituent Assembly.

At the same time a military committee is set up to coordinate the activities of the partisan groups forming in the hills and on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
