After the liberation, the temporary councils representing the antifascist parties and the allies’ administration have to face the numerous concrete emergencies, such as restoring a drinkable water system and reorganizing civil life.

On one side the people express joy and relief for the liberation but on the other side they are coping with the civilian and military deaths and with the ongoing violence.

Florence begins a season of civil and democratic reconstruction, which represents an example of great liveliness in the national panorama.
