From 1938 the Jewish community is subject to the “race laws”. Turned away from schools and from their positions, after the out-break of war, the Jews suffer new persecutory measures (internment of foreign Jews since summer of 1940 and forced recruitment for work of Italian Jews which is introduced in 1942).
